Description: This is a memorial piece for my father, Richard R. Hein Jr.. His nickname at the station was "Papa Smurf". His passion was rescue ops especially auto extrication. He was also a huge "911" advocate. He died 2/12/09 at age 60 after 43 years of fire service all with the LFD Ontario Hose Co. #3. He died of a massive stroke so please lets all keep in shape so we do not loose any more of our brothers prematurely.
