This impressive & artistic work of art belongs to Matt Cramer from the Panama City Beach Fire Rescue in Florida.

"This is a pic of my tat I had done by Joey Hamilton at Exo Graphics in Destin, Florida. It took two sessions with a total of 5 hours. I decided against color because I like the black/gray shading much better. I hope you guys like it. Thanks, Matt Cramer/Firefighter PCBFD."

Editorial Note:
Many of you might be wondering what this tattoos relationship to Firefighting is other than the fact that the collector is on the job. The reason I posted this tattoo is not only because I feel its one of the best artistic pieces on the site, but also because over three hundred years ago, during the Edo period in Japan, many firefighters (hikeshi) had tattoos that were meant to protect them. Their work was quite dangerous, (paper houses lighted by oil lamps & no fire marshalls) They had to be very courageous, and tattoos were believed to raise their spirits. The tattoo these firefighters got were mostly of water dragons, coy fish, and water symbols.
