Wanted something that represented me and my helmet shield was the perfert item. The word "Outstanding" on the bottom of the tattoo is a tribute to the men lost on 9/11. Outstanding was the catch phrase used by Capt. Terry Hatton from FDNY Rescue 1. This was also my 20 years in the fire service present to myself.
