Description: I've been on my fire dept. for 3 or 4 months and I've been going to college for firefighting for about the same. These last three or four months have been on almost every single run to structure fires to car accidents. I got the saying (were the ones who run in when people run out) cause we are, were the ones who come around when people are having the worst days of there lives and were the people who have enough nuts to run in. The tattoo artist askEd me why are you on a fire dept. that you don't get paid at I told him it's not about the money it's about the thrill and the joy on peoples faces when you pull them out of the fire or when you use spreaders to pop the door open & all the little kids are looking at you and pulling on the moms shorts "look mom and dad a firefighter! I want to be a firefighter when I grow up"; plus it runs in your blood that's all I've got to say. The tattoo also has smoke coming off of the words and behind the helmet cause if you have flames showing you didn't do your job right...
