This unique tattoo was sent in by Julia Mundy, a firefighter recruit for the city of Portsmouth, VA.

"I got my tattoo earlier this week, on the evening of the day when I told that I had been selected for the academy. The design puts it into the 9-11 Memorial category -- it's very simple in comparison to some of the others but it is exactly what I wanted. It's hard to tell since it's so close up, but it's on my lower back."
