My name is Dennis Haas, I am a retired firefighter from Abilene, TX. I designed the artwork and took it to Orlando Romo at Atomic Tattoos in Austin, TX. who did the work.

The tattoo was done in mid-March 2002. I had the tattoo done so that it could be seen every day, reminding all who see it that we can never forget the sacrifice of our brothers on that day.
