"I am a fire investigator with the San Diego Fire Dept. and this tattoo was done by Good Neighbor Tattoos in Escondido California. The artist's name is Josh. I had this tattoo done at 0130 in the morning this last 09-11 as a way of memorializing our lost brothers with the FDNY. It makes me proud when people ask me the significance of the "343" on the helmet and I can remind them that was the number of our brothers who gave their lives attempting to save others.
